I have a million and one things on the go right now, most of which I’ll be writing about for you lovely folks.. but I just wanted to do a quick post to introduce you to the newest member of our menagerie.
This is Ethel.
I’ve been feeling pretty down lately, and living in the country, have discovered we have a couple mice. Everything in the pantry is now in glorified mason jars glass containers, and all surfaces have been scrubbed down with vinegar.. but just to be sure… we decided to get a cat. I’ve been missing my old pal Vito, and as an early Christmas present… Rain surprised me with a kitten! She’s 8 weeks old, half Manx, her nub of a tail is only about an inch long, and it’s shaped like Pikachu’s… 
and oh good god, the cutest thing of all time. The dogs are simultaneously fascinated, and terrified of her. Cordelia, who absolutely adores animals, thinks she’s hilarious. This kitten has so much spunk, and such a lovely attitude… it’s hard to imagine life without her now. 
She’s cuddly, she’s affectionate… and she’s only been here for 2 days! It’s crazy to think her personality is going to blossom that much more.
All in all, I just wanted to let you guys know.. I’m in total love, with this baby kitty.
